Niners Monday: Thank Goodness It's the Bye Week

Wow... 9-7 in the most boring game I've watched in a long time. Here's the link round-up. Discussion to follow:

• The 49ers have no offense. Thanks, AP. Any more insightful commentary?

• More on the offense. Was it Nolan? Hostler? Dilfer? Who cares.

• Blandest. Offense. Ever.

• Random tidbits. Hey, at least the offensive line was better. Really? That's no consolation? Oh. Well I'm just sayin'...

• The Chron's game grades. They went easy on the offense. I really think a D- is pushing it. And you know things aren't good when your player of the game is your punter. Congrats, though, Andy.

• Will Hostler get stripped of play-calling duties? It seems to be a possibility. We can only hope so.

• Maybe they shouldn't be so predictable. Dive right, anyone?

• Finally, some good news. Carmen Policy is back in the bay heading up SF's attempt to keep the Niners. Hopefully he can work the same magic he did on the bond measure back in '97 for the now defunct stadium/mall plan at Candlestick Point. And can he bring Eddie D with him?
